With the increasing popularity of Docker and Kubernetes, things have changed, for sure. Many of the Kubernetes features fit very well for distributed applications, and especially microservices. For instance, features like service discovery, auto-recovery, or configuration management come built-in in Kubernetes. Although building microservices with Kubernetes makes a lot of sense, it's not an easy task, and there are a lot of concepts and considerations you need before you start this journey.
